自動車大手の独Volkswagen（VW）は15日、第3位株主のカタールと研究開発、人材育成で提携すると発表した。共同で研究開発を行うのは新素材や発電・蓄電技術などの分野で、新素材についてはカタールに試験施設を設置し、耐熱性などを調べる方向だ。人材育成ではカタール大学に自動車工学に関する学科を設置する。
