アイスランドで21日に起きた火山の噴火が欧州の空のダイヤに影響をもたらしている。24日はスコットランド発着を中心にフライトが約500便欠航。25日にはドイツでもブレーメン、ハンブルク、ベルリンの空港で発着が全面的に禁止された（14時までに解除）。独政府は火山灰の濃度が1立方メートル当たり0.2グラムを超えた場合、保守点検の強化を義務化、同2グラムを超えた場合はフライトを禁止する。
