電機大手の独Siemensは4日、再生可能エネルギー事業を10月1日付で風力とソーラー・水力の2部門に分割すると発表した。風力発電タービン事業が好調な一方で、ソーラー発電事業が低迷していることに対応。分離により各事業が市場環境に適した措置を打ち出し易くし、競争力を向上させる狙いだ。新部門の名称は風力が「Wind Power」、ソーラー・水力が「Solar & Hydro」。
