照明大手の独Osramは2日、自動車用の有機発光ダイオード（OLED）を遅くとも2016年までに量産化する計画を明らかにした。すでに実用化のメドを立てており、来年にはオプション装備として提供する意向。テールライトとブレーキ灯で国連欧州経済委員会（ECE）の規格を満たしている。
