風力発電設備大手の独Repowerは10月31日、来年から社名をSenvionに改めると発表した。これまではRepowerという名称をスイス企業からライセンス供与を受けて利用してきたが、同スイス企業が自らもRepowerの名称を使うようになったため、混乱を避けるために社名を変更する。Senvionという語は「イノベーション」「エネルギー」「風」といった言葉を連想させるため、再生可能エネルギー分野に経営資源を絞り込んだ同社にふさわしいとしている。
