ペーター・ラムザウアー連邦交通相は6月30日、トラックの走行規制を7月1日～8月31日までの2カ月間、大幅に強化すると発表した。バカンスシーズを踏まえた措置で、旅行客が渋滞に巻き込まれる頻度を下げる狙いがある。

ドイツでは日曜・祝日にトラックを運転することが禁止されている。今回の措置ではこれを土曜日の7時～22時にも拡大する。果物や牛乳、肉などの生鮮食料品の輸送は規制の対象から外された。
